i am looking for relatives of samuel needham born about 1830 in farnsfield mansfield notts about 3 miles from blidworth, he was in sheffield in 1871 married to mary ann stancerborn 1852, children are rhoda born in 1880 and either martha ann or mary ann born in 1872 in sheffield

He is also my great grandfather and E William was my great great grand father. I come thru Eliza Jane and John Elijah Sanders. I don't know where he got the England thing either although there is a family tale that he came from England, I have found no proof of it, as best I can tell he came from probably Virginia.

This is my first time on the Ancestry Collaboration, so I am not sure how it works. However I am very intersted in the Needhams. I have relatives Joseph (1776-1854,) John (1801-1875,) and Charles (1830-1904.) Charles' daughter, Kate (catherine) married James Bentley, which is where I come in.

I have found some very intersting gravestones in Horton. Have you seen these

I have a will of a Robert Moore McAlpine who left his papers to his executor and Solicitor Frith Needham of 10 New Inn London. it is an extremely interesting will I would therefore like to find out more about Frith Needham.

I think we might be family. William Henry Needham Sr. was born in Indiana. His son, William Henry Needham Jr. was my Grandfather. My grandmother was Mary Emma Millican, and my father is Larry De Wayne. I have just starting to collect information. My dad lost his mother when he was young and after her death he wasn't very close to his family, then joined the army, like his brother Roy, and really lost contact. Joseph Needham, Lancashire, England

Looking for information on my ggrandfather born around 1835 in Lancashire, England, possibly Rochdale. His Father's name was James; do not have his mother's name. Joseph married Mary Cahill in May 1861 in Bury, Lancashire. They had five children; James (1862), Mary Ellen (1868), Elizabeth (1870), Joseph (1875) and Thomas (1876). Mary died on 01.04.1876 following the birth of Thomas. Thomas was 'fostered' out to a family called 'Hughes' and lived in Accrington, Lancashire. Although Joseph married again two years later to a Mary Knowles, Thomas remained with his foster family.
If anyone has this line in their tree, I would love to hear from you.

Maurice, my grandmother's maiden name was Sarah Needham, she married my grandfather George Binyon in 1888. They lived in Cheshire would you have relatives in that area.

Think my line came from a Christopher Needham who came to Maryland/Virginia circa 1636-1652, two sons Edward and Thomas, think my line was from Edward......do not know if they were from Derbyshire or not.....any info from anyone whould help.

I am searching for Winnie NEEDHAM. She married Cline ESTABROOK. I don't know any family related to Winnie except that she had 8 children, and one of her grandchildren is my grandfather. Hi Kari,
I'm afraid I have no connection other than my name. I was named Maurice after my uncle who came from Chesterfield, England. He was captured by the Japanese in the 2nd World War and held in a POW camp - he was skin and bones bus survived.

I was born in Liverpool, a tough city, all my friends we called John, Paul, George and (no, not Ringo) so 'Maurice' was a difficult name to live with. I am now Mo Needham to all who know and love me.

My brother-in-law lives in Toronto so there is a slight Canadian connection - great place.

No Cheshire link that I am aware of. Dad was adopted by his Granddad (on his mother's side). His gran was Alice Needham and she married Ted Davies (probably between 1910 - 20). Alice died in childbirth when dad was young hence the adoption and change of surname to Needham. Follow the link below for some of Dad's memories.

Dad's older brother was Maurice Needham, whom I was named after, and my son has Maurice as a middle name.

I was born in Liverpool, just north of Cheshire, but that was because Mum was from Liverpool and Mum & Dad came back to Liverpool from Derbyshire seeking work and housing after the 2nd World War.

I'm pretty sure there were 'Sarahs' in the family - my daughter is a Sarah and was a Needham until marriage. Cheshire has never been mentioned, the Needhams I am related to herald mainly from Chesterfield and there are said to be some in Seven Oaks in Kent.

Hello! My name is Kyndra Noelle Needham. My grandfather is Harold Needham, born in 1925. He died in 1999, lived in Virginia. My great-grandfather was Harry K. Needham, born in 1841 married to Maude Fulton.

Harold Needham had two marriages. First wife to Gudrun Seim. Together had my father, Steven Joachim Needham. His second wife was Ruth. She is still alive and well. Living in west Pennsylvania.

Do you have any more information? I have been looking for years and it is wonderful to know that I have finally may have found part of my family
