I am looking for any other Neff families who came from Appenzell and settled in New York / New Jersey.

My family's "cognomen" was Hermanns, Hermes, etc. There was a few variations used. I have been able to go back to approximately 1700 in my research, but am having some difficulty deciphering which parent is the correct one (as I'm sure many of you have had the same issue).
