Wenda, Thank you for your reply. Your Neff line is not connected to the Neff family of interest in Euclid, OH. Your Mathias L. Neff b. 11 April 1865 in Rockingham Co., VA is our G line of Neffs. Records for his father Elias Neff also have his family name spelled NAVE. Mathias's first marriage was to a Ada L. Leffingwell, b. abt 1865 and died 1 May 1899 in Delaware Co., IN.

From a letter mailed at Cowan, Ind. to relatives in
Rockingham Co., VA dated 3 May 1899.

"Mr. Lewis F. Neff of Jonesboro, near Muncie, Ind. sends us the following notice, which we publish, as all parties have friends and relatives in this section. Ada L., wife of Mathias Neff, died at their home in Connersville, Monday evening at 9 o'clock. She was thirty nine years of age. The remains were taken to Connersville yesterday, and funeral services will be conducted there today."
