Surnames: NEHLS / DOMRESE / CASSADY
We have a Herbert NEHLS, born Feb 21, 1901 in our family. Rumor has it his mother was Auguste Helene Hettie NEHLS (maiden name). She did have his birthday listed in your Little Book of Birthdays.

His rumored mother was born in Wilson, MN, Jan 27, 1876, however they do have family in St. Charles, MO. There was also family in Kansas - don't have their names though, except "Uncle Ed" who died in KS. The person who told me about the rumor (I had found out about an 'Uncle Herbert' who was supposed to be Helen's brother, except she only had one brother, Herman, who died in Kansas from a snake bite when he was young) would be Herbert's half-sister (my g-aunt). Helen's family came from Germany when her mother, Adeline DOMRESE, was about 17. Adeline married Joachim/Joseph NEHLS in St. Charles, MO in 1875. They were separated for many years at the end - he lived in St Charles, MO and she lived in MN then MT with her daughter.

Helene married George E Cassady June 24, 1905 in Litchfield, MN. They met through a marriage ad.

I heard at one time Herbert might have lived in Detriot, MI and worked in upholstery. He might have a daughter around 75 right now. The last time they saw him, he was around 31 years old.

Trying to find any information or relatives we may have through him.
