Gustav was my great great grandfather. His son Adolph Carl Neils had 4 daughters including my grandmother.

Peter's father was also Peter. Born @ 1750 either in VA or emigrated young he married Mary Ann Tharby in 1774. Peter Sr. died in McMinn Co, TN. The McCubbin family is traced back to 1600 with branches leading farther back to several prominent familes from the Wars of the Roses and beyond. I have not had any luck yet tracing the parents of Peter Sr.

His wife's name was Sophia, and they were married in 1843
in Robe, Kreis. (i.e. county) Greifenberg, Pomerania, Germany.

My Grandfather, Milan Neils, is the oldest son of William Sr., and Hattie Platz Neils of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. I dont know if this is the William Neils you are looking for, but anything helps.

Hi Fred! The names you mention don't ring a bell with me but I'm new at this and maybe later I can make a connection. My father's name is Ronald Neils, his father was Clarence, and Clarence's father was named Heinriech and his mother was Lydia Eggebrecht.. Clarence had 3 brothers. His twin brother was named Walter and his 2 older brothers were Gilbert and Erwin. I don't know anything about the brothers yet. I am a descendent of Peter Neil and am searching for information regarding his birthplace and his parents/grandparents. He married Leta McCubbin(s)(bn. abt. 1785) and had 2-3 sons in Claiborne County, TN. I believe his father was also Peter Neil, however I have no information about the family or place he came from.
