My daughters ancestor is Honora Neligan (and various spellings), born 1854 to Maurice Neligan and Margaret Sullivan in Ballymullen. She married in Dec 1881 in Tralee to a soldier named Joseph Durden and they moved to Northampton, England. I'd be interested to hear from anyone with this ancestry. Three of their six children died, with another dying in WW1. Honora died in the workhouse hospital but there are a few mysteries within the family, her sons appear to have disowned the family or been estranged from them and Joseph possibly lived with another woman, a Rhoda. I dont need look ups, have exhausted every record possible thankyou but also would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about the daughter Margaret Durden who never married and died in 1971 in Nazareth House, her early days were also spent in the workhouse and then as a servant. Nazareth House have refused to release her records.
