Lu Schindeldecker, 80, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, in Spooner, Wisconsin. She was born on Nov. 15, 1920, in Sanborn, Iowa, to August and Anna (Fiepel) Neuman. On Feb. 19, 1944, she married Roy Schindeldecker in Waukegan, Ill. Her husband preceded her in death on April 13, 1998. She is survived by two sons, Terry (Diane) of Gurnee, Ill., and Gregg (Char) of Shell Lake; five grandchildren, Jamie, Kristen, Andrew, Elizabeth, and Tracy; three sisters, Mina (Bill) Bonsall and Nellie (Eddie) Edwards, both of Seattle, Wash., and Marian Goulding of Spooner; six brothers, Frank (Carol) Neuman of Shell Lake, Ralph (Geraldine) Neuman of Spooner, Harold (Grace) Neuman of Chicago, Joe (Val) Neuman of Port Arthur, Texas, Leo (Dawn) Neuman of Rice Lake, and Eugene (Delores) Neuman of Minneapolis.
