Hello,

I am the daughter of a Nevay. My mum and one of her sisters (both Nevays) were born in South Africa (father Paul Dominic Nevay 1928-2009), lived in Cambridge, and now mum lives in the USA near San Francisco. Another sister lives in Sevenoaks in England, and another in Leysin, Switzerland.

I have been researching my husband's family for a few years now and believe he is the G.G.G.G. Grandson of John Nevay (1792 - 1870) of Manor Street, Forfar. Over the years I have gathered quite a few bits and pieces on John's descendants but not much on his ancestors.

I note that a few years ago you posted a message on the rootsweb message board looking for Nevays. I wondered if you are still following this line of research.
Hi there. My name is Jonas Nääf and i live in Sweden. I have done some checking in the history of my family and found out that i might be descending from James Nevay who left Scotland 1579. I wonder if you could give me some info on the whole family. How long have the family existed and is there any left in the area of which James, Jacob Nääf when he arrived in Sweden, moved from. I hope to hear from you soon.
/Jonas Nevay/Nääf in Sweden
