Here is some of the data I have, would delighted if anyone has any further information they would like to share, especially his ancestors: "Pioneer Families of Missouri" by Bryan and Rose page 362-363: "NEVINS - John NEVINS, of Ireland, married Winifred Dixon, came to America, and settled in Greenbrier county, Virginia. In 1819 he removed to Missouri, and settled Callaway county. His children were James, Joseph, John, Thomas, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Virginia."

1. JOHN D. *5 NEVINS, SR. (JAMES *4, ROBERT *3, SAMUEL *2, NEVINS1 FAMILY) was born 1757 in Ireland, and died January 18, 1854 in Round Prairie Twp, Callaway county, Missouri. He married MARGERY WINIFRED * DICKSON November 13, 1789 in Greenbrier county, West Virginia, daughter of JOSEPH DICKSON and SALLY YOUNG. She was born July 22, 1774 in Pennsylvania, and died September 19, 1852 in Round Prairie Twp, Callaway county, Missouri.
