I have found this information about John Newborn. John was shown in Campbell County on the 1850 and 1860 census. Deba was shown on the 1880 census as a widow.

There is a John Newborn listed in the Pike County census of 1840 that may or may not be him.

A John T. Newborn, private as of March 4, 1862, died in Campbell County, GA, while on sick furlough, November 22, 1862.

William J. Newborn, private on March 4, 1862. Deserted and took oath of allegance to U.S. government at Louisville, Ky. He was released to remain north of the Ohio River during the war, August 16, 1864.

I believe John T. and William J were brothers and the sons of John Newborn and Deb. The information about them is from the Campbell County, Company K, 41st GA. Infantry. Also known as the Campbell County Georgia, Campbell County Salt Springs Guards.

I also found John Newborn who resided in Campbell County, GA with and enlistment date of September 25, 1861. Distinguished Service to the Confederacy, GA. Unit 378. He enlised as Private on September 25, 1851 in Company G, 30th Infantry Regiment, GA.

If anyone can help me go back any farther with this line I would be very grateful.
