MUSCATINE, Iowa - Arlene Joan Newcomb, 44, of 1816 Logan St, died Sunday, February 22, 2004, at her home.
Service will be at St. Mathias Church, 215 W Eighth St. The Rev. John P. Gallagher will officiate. Casket bearers will be Mikki Harris, Mackenzie Harris, Matt Harris, Traci Harris, Rochele Yerington, Mike Yerington, Cecelia Yerington, and Jason Fladlien. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Newcomb was born on December 20, 1959, in Muscatine, daughter of Donald and Donna Martin Yerington. She married David Newcomb Sr. on Feb. 14, 1976 in Rock Island, Illinois.
She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by one son, David Newcomb Jr. of Muscatine; a daughter, Christy Newcomb of Muscatine; three granddaughters; eight brothers, Mike Harris and wife, Linda, of Atalissa, Randy Harris and wife, Stacie, of Wilton, Richard Yerington and wife, Martha, Dale Yerington, Ernie Yerington and wife, Peggy, Larry Yerington, Barry Yerington, and Dennis Yerington all of Muscatine; two sisters, Cindy Baker and husband, Earl, of Cabool, Missouri, and Dorothy Fladlien of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, John and Donald in infancy.
