I have been searching for any information on my g-grandfather,ELAM NEWELL b in 1878 and d in 1973. He was married to DIXIE GOINS NEWELL b 1887 and d 1974. They had seven children together. I believe that they spent most of their married life together in the Randolph County area, but am unable to locate any information on him. I've heard that he may have been from Georgia and possibly even changed his given name at some point. Their son JOHN HENRY NEWELL was my grandfather and he married SARAH HURST.
