julia (laverne) newlin 68 paoli in. died monday nov 13 2006 at 10:20 am at her home born may 23 1938 in new albany she was the daughter of the late harry e pauline huffines stroud. she was a retired cna and qma at orange county hospital and paoli nursing home, a member of paoli concord and attended little mission church at hardinsburg besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister phyllis newlin. survivors include her husband of 52 years, david lee newlin sr. 4 daughters deborah newlin of eckerty, deanna sneed of paoli, and dolly sue patton and hong newlin both of paoli two sons david lee newlin jr. of paoli and danny gene newlin of salem 2 sisters teresa watts of georgetown and beverly rushing of louisville 4 brothers terry,ronnie and jerry stroud of louisville and donovan stroud of mitchell, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. visitation was wednesday nov. 15 from 4 to 8 pm at McA dams mortuary in paoli the funeral was thursday the 16th at 1 pm followed by burial in paoli community cemetery brothers steve stroud and george key officiated
