noah ermel newlin 90 of paoli died monday feb 25 2008 at bloomington hospital born oct 31 1917 in galveston he was the son of the late franklin thomas newlin and kitty emily padgett newlin he was a 1935 graduate of paoli high school, an army veteran of ww II a retired inspector from fishers division of general motors in marion and a former member of ames chapel in paoli besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former ruby e crowe in 2001 a sister hazel kimble 2 stepsisters and 1 stepbrother. survivors include a son dr. gordon ermel newlin of floyds knobs 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren the funeral was saturday at ames chapel with burial in stampers creek cemetery james f walters officiated kemple funeral home in paoli handled the arrangements.
