Still trying to unravel Eli's life.
Eli Newton was born Nov 1859 (1900 Census) and first married Ida C. Hickerson. They had 4 children, the two daughters only surviving: Myra and Frances Angeline ("Frankie"). Ida died in 1894, and the girls were living with Richard Wallac [sic] and his wife Clara as "adopted daughters" by the 1900 Census.
In 1900, Eli reported he had married my g-grandmother, Margaret "Madge" or "Maggie" May Erwin, about 7 years previously. Their oldest son, George Sidney was 11 at this time.
By 1913, Madge and her three children are in Idaho, without Eli. By 1920, Madge was in Oregon, and Eli was living with a family in Minnesota .
Any information would be appreciated.
