any information would be helpful
I have gotten Civil war socials but have also heard that the name could have been miss read and recorded on Ellis - the correction in case would be Meyendorf (Neyendorf dosen't make sense in German - atleast that is what i was told while staying in Germany)

It could be Neyndorff, because my name is Neyndorff. In Germany is a cute little town called Nierendorff, which in the year 1500 was called Neyndorff, the town is part of the municipality Graft near Ahrweiler. It even has its own website, which you can find with Google.
