I am a proud English NICE and have struggled for a while to find any reliable imformation on the names origins.

I have found a `George Nice` who died in the 17th century in the carribean, and know of various other family snippets but the roots of it all elude me.

a fine young lady suggested after she did some research that it derived from `Pictish` but im not convinced....

ideas are welcome
