This from Sam Nichols Conroe Texas, I 'm new to genealogy and right off have hit a stone wall. I am looking for my ggrandfather Nichols. His son, my grandfather, was born in TN accouding to the 1910 Texas census. My grandfather was John Henry Nichols ( b.4/6/1857 d. 1915 according to his head stone in the Dallas Oak Cliff Cemetery ) he married Emma D. Luck and had 7 children Ruie Dean ( my father b. 12/7/1897 d.12/23/1951), Hope (b.11/1890),John W. (b.9/1896), Rhea L. (b.1901),Delossi (b.1905), Thorn (b.1903) and Ruth (b.9/1886). Emma D. Luck was the daughter of William Martin Luck (b.9/14/1830 Rockingham Co. NC d. 12/14/1875) and Ruth Dean ( b.1837 Henry Co. VA d. 1878). JML was son of John or Johan Luck ( b.1801 in Germany and migrated to NC at age 23) and Lucy Gains. JML and father were millwrights and millers and JML operated a mill at Eagle Ford Texas with his son untill his death. Ruth Dean was the daughter of Edmond Dean and Thhiodocia Perkins from Henry Co. VA. Lucy Gains was the daughter of Thomas Gains and Elizabeth Wall of VA. Jonh Henry Nichols, his wife Emma, his son John W. Nichols and two other unidentified , by me at least, Nichols ( Sarah Nichols date (birth or death ??? May 16 1932) and John D. Nichols (no date)are buried in the Nichols plot of the Oak Cliff Cemetery in Dallas. Could be the guy I'm looking for but I can not make the connection. Any help out there ? Sam Nichols
