Surnames: Nicolson or Nicholson,
Alexander Nic(h)olson of Portree, Inverness. His wife Marion (or Sarah)nee McDonald emigrated to Australia in 1856/7 with her daughters Christina, Ann, Eliza & Jessie and son Alexander. Another daughter Marion may have emigrated at some other time. The children all married in Victoria, Australia. It appears Alexander snr did not come to Australia. i am at a dead end with my research. Help!
