Leona's wedding information says that she was 16 years old at the time she that married John. Census information for 1920, Wirt Co. WV says she was 39 years (this means she was b. 1881 I think this was suppose to be age 31)

iii. ARTHUR B. CRISS, b. August 20, 1915; d. Aft. 1956; m. HENRIETTA YEAGER CUNNINGHAM, July 22, 1942, Wirt Co. WV.
iv. MONROE CRISS, b. 1918.
v. ARIZONA(RUTH) CRISS, b. 1920, Wirt Co. WV; m.(1) KENNETH SOMERVILLE, September 03, 1938. m.(2) ? RADER. The last I heard she was living in Akron OH with husband? Radar.
7. vi. BERTHA M. CRISS, b. June 25, 1925, Wirt Co. WV; d. 1956 Died in an auto accident (I have newspaper clipping) She married Harry C. Law May 13, 1939/Wirt Co.

Wirt Co.,WV marriages by Wes Cochran- John NICHOLAS 30 married Lucy A CROWSER on 11-6-1887.

My father told me that he spent a lot of time in Palistine as a young man. He talked about climbing over “those hills” to see girlfriends. I also found the following: (You can see how the spellings got messed up for this CROWSER surname, not to mention to what kid of abuse the Nicholas spelling took.)
