I'm interested in any CT=born Nieces who settled in Ontario County, New York.

Corintha P. Niece, daughter of James Niece, married John Horn c. 1830 in Ontario County. John died there in 1851. Corintha moved to Illinois with her daughter and son-in-law George Reed. Lyman D. Niece, her brother, stayed in Ontario.
Any help with this family will be appreciated.

I don't think we are the same. My grandfather was John Harrison Niece from Letcher County. Some of them moved to Russell County, VA and the spelling changed to Nease.

Do you have any information on Hezekiah Niece and Dora Leeth? I have been told they were the parents of my great-grandmother, Annie Niece, who was born at Louisville, KY according to her death certificate. Annie ended up in Pike or Adams County, Illinois where she married Mack Shepherd in 1874. Thank you.

My great-grandfather was Frederick Niece, brother to Zina Niece. Their father was Abraham Sr., Alvin was his father, and William and Hannah Mitchel(l) Niece was his parents. Searching for info on the family of Libbie Alma (Cleveland) Niece, daughter of Oliver Cleveland & Libbie M. Smth. Born 7/23/1891 Williamson Co, TX died 9/1983 Houston, Harris Co, TX. Her sister, Mary Abby Cleveland married my grandfather, Milburn Henry Newton & lived in Waco, TX and Fort Worth, TX. I know she had a brother named Watson Cleveland who lived in Houston until his death; their was also a brother named Glover Cleveland, but I don't no anything else on him. I hope to get information on their mother by locating Libbie Niece's family. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. Don't know if you will get this or not, but I just received some papers belonging to my grandmother (she died in 1973). In them was a marriage certificate. She married a Leslie D. Niece born 1914,son of Oscar D. Niece and Lela Pearl Mosier. Leslie was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Would they happen to be any connection to your family?

My father(Robert Miles White(niece)) was born in Keller, Texas to Verna and Earl(?) Niece. He had a sister named Hazel Ione. Verna divorced this man, and remarried a JOSHUA SOLE WHITE. The story goes that Earl died in prison. If anyone has ANY info on this family I would be forever grateful. My father would never speak his name, but, I heard his name was EARL. Zina Niece was born to Abraham Niece and Eliza Eby Niece. Abraham was son of Alvin and Pansy Paine Niece. I have Abraham Sr's death certificate that shows he was born in Indiana 4/4/1851. Abraham Sr was my grt grandfather, my grandfather was David Niece, brother to Zina and Abraham Jr. Please email me, I am excited to find someone who is also working on this Niece line!
