I came across more information on Henry what I think is Henry Sr. & Augusta Nikand were married in Russia and divorced (or never lived together later). I don’t think ether of them remarried. Henry and Augusta had two sons named Henry P. Nikand born in 1890 and Frank A. Nikand born in 1898 both in Russia. They were not married and living with there mother Augusta on the 1920 census. On the 1930 census ED no. 26- 548 sheet no. 7B, Multnomah County, Oregon I found Henry ( Jr.) listed himself as a widower he was 39 years old and married when he was 36 this could be possible. Would this be about the right age period?

Hi Vicki,
I haven’t come across any information on weather Henry remarried or not. I do know that on the 1920 census Augusta Nikand said she was divorced so, it is very possible. If I come across any information about weather he married a Helen Kieling I will let you know.

Hi, I just happened to come across the name of Henry Nikand that you posted. Do you know if he was married also to a Helen Kieling somewhere around 1926 or before in Portland Oregon? Helen Kieling was my grandmother but died in March 1927 (self inflicted). Trying to find out more about this part of my grandmother's life. Thanks for any help
