Katharina Metta Nissen b. Sept 1855.
I am trying to find any one who may be related to this woman. Katharina is my GrGrandmother. She married Gustav Haverbeck in Stamford Ct. in 1880.
This is important to me because there is a hereditory factor here. Katharina (Catherine) had CMT (Charcot Maria Tooth Syndrome). This Syndrome is indigenous to the "low countries, Northern Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands, and parts of Italy This is a form of dystrophy that attacks the extremities, arms, hands, legs and feet. This disease has come down through the family attacking at least 4 or more.
I would like to be able to contact any of the Nissen Family who carry this Syndrome
Judith Christopher (Nissen/Haverbeck)
