I would like to make contact with anyone knowing of May Zella Corbin born October 5, 1888 in Clinton, Pennsylvania. She was placed in the Fairmount Children's Home at age 7. She was adopted less than a month later by Charles August and Wilhelmina Nixdorf. According to census, this couple was from Germany- but became US citizens and adopted this little girl when they were in their late forties. I would like to know if this couple may have had descendants who may know any family lore about this adopted child. They would probably be living in the Canton, Ohio/Stark County area. May Zella was my Great Grandfather's only sister. Cenus says she took the last name Nixdorf and Fairmount tells us that she was sent away to a school in Delaware, Indiana and that at some point she died. Her death year is not given.
