Re: Lucien B Noah
Your Lucian's parents are Rueben Haynes Noah and Sarah "Sally" Austin. Rueben was b. 1-9-1792 and died in Daviess Co. MO on 6-2-1860. Sarah was born ca. 1797 and died in 1918 (I think, I'd have to double check my notes). They were married about 1822 in Portage, OH. His grandparents are John Mathias Noah and Elizabeth Schmidt/Smith.
Lucian was the great uncle to my great grandmother and her 2 sisters. His brother and himself served as administrators for the estate of Harriet Noah Clark, who was the daughter of George Nelson Noah and wife of my great grandfather and great great grandmother's brother, John Lewis Clark.
Harriet's and John's eldest daughter Phebe Frances Clark took over the estate of her mother at first (her mom died in 1896) but she died about 1900. Rueben then took over the estate for both Harriet and Phebe until his death in 1911. Upon Ruben's death, Lucian finished out the administration of the estate which completed a couple of years after Phebe's death.
I have probate documents relating to Phebe's death and the administration by Lucian and Ruben of it that I can provide copies to you if you are interested.
Do you know what the "B" in Lucian's name stands for?
