SHENANDOAH, Iowa -- Curtiss Dwane Noble, 73, of Shenandoah, formerly of Muscatine, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at the Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah.
Graveside services will be at the Edwards Cemetery in Oakville, following cremation. The Selby Funeral Chapel in Shenandoah is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Noble was born March 5, 1927, in Oakville, the son of LeeRoy and Edith Brown Noble. He married Pauline Granaman on Aug. 7, 1959. He grew up in Oakville where he received his education.
During World War II, he served in the United States Navy.
He was a State Conservation Officer in the Muscatine area, retiring in 1989. Curtiss was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post No. 27 in Muscatine, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5166 in Wapello, The National Rifle Association, and a lifetime member of the Muscatine Power Boat Club.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, boating, woodworking and flying.
Survivors include three stepdaughters, Ona Bishop, Linda Belger, and Billie Stickland; and a loving companion, Donna Wright of Shenandoah; plus several step grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline, on June 29, 1992; two brothers, Chester and Leland Noble; and a sister, Ruth Lee.
