Thomas Noble born County Fermanagh, Ireland

Research into my ancestor Thomas Noble has shown that he arrived in Sydney Australia on 30 August 1841 as a Bounty (Assisted) Immigrant on the vessel Runnymede. The records show him as aged 23 yrs at the time of his arrival in Sydney and born in County Fermanagh, Ireland with parents George and Jane, both dead at the time of his departure from Ireland. His religion was noted as Episcopalian. His trade was noted as blacksmith.
I have found a reference to a Church of Ireland Marriage Licence Bond for the Diocese of Clogher for the marriage in 1808 of a George Noble and Jane Wilson but cannot link them to my Thomas Noble.

I have no further details at this stage and am looking for assistance from others who may have already come across this branch of the Nobles in Fermanagh or have access to records that are difficult to access from Australia.
Regards, Colin
NOBLE, GIBBONS, Granville, MA. 1750

I would like to locate anybody doing any research on the NOBLE surname. This surname should also be connected with the surname of GIBBONS. The area of searching would be in the Granville, Mass. area. The time frame would be connected to around 1750.
I have found the name of Miss May C. Noble included the L.D.S. films of the Granville Vital Records, film # 2031549 and the Congregational Church records East Granville from 1739 to 1861, film # 0234566. In these records there is a foot note stating that Miss. May C. Noble is in possession of the Gibbons Family Bible.
I do not know the time frame when the information was included onto the L.D.S. films. I am guessing that this info about her having the Bible is a lot more recent than the info on the films.
There is another surname that I am interested in that might be registered in that Bible.
Please contact me by email.
Thank you.
John Fennell

Ward T. Noble Vietnam Marine passed away 1989 in S.F.

I'm still trying to find Ward T. Noble's widow, Karen J. (Griffiths) Noble or his children, Lauren and Isaac Noble. ages 23 and 20. They live in the Bay Area and I can't find a phone number for them since they are unlisted. Please see attached file for pic of the dog tag I'm trying to return. There is no charge for the dog tag, I just want to return it to his family and have been attempting to do so for over a year. At first I thought it was a WWII era tag, but got his military records from N.P.R.C. and realized he was actually in Vietnam and had served in the Philippines, which was how his tag was found in the South Pacific. Also, he was married to Karin S. Wine and they divorced. Thanks, please reply to france@wavecable.com or call (707) 362-0138 Francesca Cumero

U.S. Marine Vietnam era Ward T. Noble

Please respond to francesca@starstreamcable.com I've been posting trying to find Ward T. Noble from WWII, because I thought the dog tag I had was from WWII. I got his records from NARA and it turns out he was in the Marines from 10-08-1964 to 09-22-1970. He entered service from Buffalo, NY and ended service in Kansas City, MO. He was stationed at Point Luzon, Philippines from August of 1966 to August of 1967. Then, he was sent to San Francisco, CA for the remainder of his service. He was married twice. The first time to Karin Wine and the second time to Karen Griffiths. He passed away in 1989 and is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery. I have his dog tag and would very much like to get it back to his family. If anyone can help put me in touch with his family, I would be very appreciative. He may have been born in Canada. Thank you. Francesca

WWII Noble's in the Marine Corps

I have posted several times to this board, hoping to get some results, but am getting very discouraged. I have a WWII Marine Corps dog tag that was found in the South Pacific. The name on the tag is W.T. Noble. Curse them for not putting the full first name!!!LOL! The serial number is: 2127068 Blood type is AB. Religion is Episcopal. I was told by the V.A. that he was named Ward T. Noble and died in 1998, but I am beginning to doubt the accuracy of that information, since I found no Ward T. Noble who died in 1998 in the SSI database. I'm thinking his first name may not have been Ward. So if anyone has any relatives, with the initials W.T. and the last name Noble, living or deceased, who served in the South Pacific Theater of Operations in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, PLEASE contact me at francesca@starstreamcable.com. I am really, really wanting to return this tag to him or his family. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. A picture of the tag can be provided upon request.

WWII Noble's who served in the South Pacific

I am trying to find the family of WWII Marine Veteran W.T. Noble, full name Ward T. Noble who served on Guadalcanal with the Marines during WWII. I have his dog tag (picture can be provided upon request) and have been trying for almost a year to return it to his family. Even if you haven't heard of him, perhaps one of your older relatives would remember him? Perhaps he really is related to you, but you only know him by a family nickname?

Because he was in the Marines, I have no way of obtaining his date/place of birth and the V.A. would only tell me that he did receive benefits and that he died in 1998, but not where he was living when he died. I wrote to NARA for his records, but never got a response. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please respond to me at francesca@starstreamcable.com

Harriet Cass (DOUGLASS) NOBLE, 1826-1910

Her parents were Gilbert Denison DOUGLAS and Elizabeth HAMILTON

OBITUARY - North Iowa times, March 17, 1910

Harriet Cass (DOUGLASS) NOBLE
was born in Fredonia, N.Y., January 11th 1826 and died at the home of her daughter, in New Orleans, March 8th, 1910.
In 1831, she came with her parents to Illinois, and resided there until her marriage to Mr. Reuben NOBLE, in 1844. Later that year they came to Clayton County, and have always lived here, since August, 1844, being closely identified with the growth of the community.
Seven children were born to them, four of whom are now living, Mrs. J.F. DAY of New Orleans, Mrs. R.V. DAY, of Los Angeles, Henry NOBLE, of Seattle, and V.B. Noble, of Bottineau, N.D.
Her husband preceded her in death on August 8th, 1896, and since then she has continued to make her home in McGregor, tho taking trips to visit her children, or to spend the winter with her daughter in New Orleans, as she was doing at the time of her death. The remains were interred in New Orleans, but later they will be brought to her old home for burial beside her husband.
It is with the deepest regret that we learned of the passing away of this “Grand Old Woman,” and yet when we view the past labors and life work of her, whose age (84) exceeds the settlement of the County; who has resided in Clayton County for over 65 years; who has shared the toils and troubles and privations of the early settlers, the rise, progress and prosperity of Iowa, we must feel that it is but the natural ending of a well spent life.
Mrs. NOBLE came, with her husband, the late Reuben NOBLE, to Jacksonville, now Garnavillo, in 1844, and from the first her strong intellect and personal qualities gained the respect and admiration of her fellows. Always considerate for the weak and wayward, cherishing the noble and the good, she became a moving and abiding agent for good. She was the first Post Mistress of Jacksonville in 1845 and 1846 and was an official both obliging and efficient. It has often been said that the personality of Judge NOBLE, his love of justice and peace, his efforts to settle disputes of all kinds on a peaceable and equitable basis, has leftist imprint, upon not only the Bar, but upon the people of the County, and it may with equal truth he said that the influence of Mrs. NOBLE for justice and integrity, for kindness and hospitality, for wise counsel and womanly graces, has left a strong impress upon all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.
From Garnavillo, Mr. and Mrs. NOBLE moved to a farm on Pleasant Ridge, and lived there for many years and until they came to this city to make their home.
Hi,
Does anyone have any information about my 3rd Great Grandfather HENRY BOURNE NOBLE, or his family. He was born c1803 place as yet unknown. Died 1st qtr. 1882 in Whitechapel, London, age 79 years.
I know that on his daughter Sophia Elizabeth Noble's marriage certificate his occupation is given as 'Engineer'. Sophia was born in Whitechapel c1830, so I'm assuming that Henry lived in that area for at least 52 years because that is where he died.
Many thanks.
Noble-Hispanic connection

my father had somehow traced his surname, Noble, to an Irish ambassador to Puerto Rico. I'm not sure of the year but this is the first official reference of the name on the island. Does anyone have any info on this or of the Nobles from Puerto Rico? My grandfather's name was Herminigildo, he was a baker and merchant mariner before moving to NYC sometime in the 1950s. He died about 1955. That's all I have. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time!

search for signer of 1657 Flushing Demonstrance

The historical Bowne House in Flushing, Queens New York is looking for descendants of Peter Stuyvesant, his sheriff Resolved Waldron, and signers of the Flushing Remonstrance of 1657. Dec. 27, 2007 will be the 350th anniversary of this famous signing. The Flushing Remonstrance is recognized as the foundation of freedom of religion in America. Though there were only 30 signers, there are thousands of descendants living today. Though he was not there to sign the document,. John Bowne was the first to "test" it when he allowed Quakers to worship in his house. Because of this, he was arrested and imprisoned by Governor Peter Stuyvesant, and sent back to Holland for trial. There he won his case for religious liberty, and returned to New York in 1663, with a ruling for Peter Stuyvesant to extend tolerance to all religious sects.
The 30 signers were: Nicolas BLACKFORD, George CLERE, Elias DOUGHTIE, Edward FARRINGTON, Tobias FEAKE, Antonie FIELD, Robert FIELD, Sr, ROBERT field, Jr. , John FOARD, Edward GRIFFINE, Edward HART, Nathaniel HEFFERD, Benjamin HUBBARD, John MASTINE, Michael MILNER, William NOBLE, Nich Colas PARSELL, William PIDGION, Henry SEMTELL, Richard STOCTON, John STORE, Edward TARNE, William THORNE Sr., William THORNE, Jr. John TOWNSEND, Nathaniel TUE, Micah TUE, Phillip UDALL, George WRIGHT.
Please contact Donna Cartelli, Executive Director BHHS, @ 718-930-0134 or dcartelli@bownehouse.org

Solomon Noble

Update!! I think I am in the correct family line this time. My Great Grand Fathers name was Solomon on one board they had it listed as Salimon/Sal Nobbe with a notation that read incorrect spelling and then it listed Solomon and my Great Grand Mothers name was Sarah. They were both born in Jefferson County Florida. The poster did not understand or could not spell their names. Now I am looking for the descendants of Washington Noble, John Noble, George Noble, Lada Noble, Luone Noble, Mattie Noble, Pattie Noble and Dallie Noble. Paul my grandfather past in 1924. The age listed on the census reports and the names of the parents line up with the death certificate I have for my grand pop
1910 United States Federal Census
about Sarah Nobbe Error!

Sal Nobbe
39

Sarah Nobbe
40

E A Roberts

Washington Nabb
15

John Nabb
14

George Nabb
11

Lada Nabb
10

Paul Nabb
8

Luone Nabb
7

Mattie Nabb
5

Pattie Nabb
4

Dallie Nabb
2
