Mary Ellen (Nock) Bledsoe, daughter of Francis and Goldie (Alderson) Nock, was born October 7, 1929 in Cylinder, Iowa. She received her education in Cylinder.
In 1953 Mary was united in marriage to Robert Edwin Bledsoe. To this union a son, James was born.
Mary was a bookkeeper for several businesses. She and Robert owned and operated a restaurant in Bloomington, Illinois during the 1960s. Mary was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Mary died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the McLean County Nursing Home in Bloomington, Illinois at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Gene, Dicky, Frankie, Bob and Eddie Nock; sister, Joyce Ihnen.
She is survived by her son, James Robert Bledsoe of Bloomington, IL; two grandsons, Bob and Ethan Bledsoe; two sisters, Agnes Alderson of Cylinder, IA and Mildred Johnson of Cherokee, IA; as well as many other relatives and friends.
