I am a descendant of Elizabeth Calvert (1796 - 1846), wife of Lewis Broyles (1795-1837). It is documented amongst most genealogical researchers, periodicals and reference books that Elizabeth Calvert's mother was Elizabeth Nodding, daughter of William Nodding. This lineage could be flowered with the families Ludlow, Pyle, Cogan, William DeJayne (an Oxford graduate), Brewsters (NOT of the Mayflower), Snellings, and many more. Given so many strong Virginian and English names I want to be sure that I am correct in this "name dropping" in a family history book I am going to embark on writing.
Is there a particular book that you would recommend to definitely reference for the correct lineage of Noddings (which also brings in the Calvert family as well)? ... or maybe some specific references that have been found to be incorrect and NOT to reference? Thank you so much!!
