Nanci Noel was asked about early Noel's in Virginia. I researched this line more than ten years ago and am just getting back to it. The VA Noel's came from Cornelius Noell who came to VA in 1600's. Jennie Noel Weeks wrote several volumes on Noel family and the books are available through Mormon libraries.
I just joined this list so this is probably old news to most Noel's.
