Re: François Noel connection

This is also my tree on my mothers side. Her maiden name was NOEL. My line goes like this:
Francois Noel (1643-1745) /Nicole LeGrand
Philippe Noel (1690-1736) /Marie Rondeau
Ignace Noel (1700-1759) /Marie Crepeau
Benoit Noel (1738-1764) /Agathe Parent
Benoit Noel (1770-1817)
Prisque Noel (1808-18??) /Angelique Breton?
Prisque O Noel (1838-1915) /Zoe Patenaude
Francis Noel (1871-1969) /Philomine Cyr
Fred Noel (1895-1962) /LaRena Remley then Violet Williams
Fred Noel is my mother's father, my Gr.Father.
I am collecting as many photo's as possible to add to my tree. I have Photo's of Fred, my grandfather. A wonderful cousin in Canada, whom I just met, sent me a photo of Prisque Onezime NOEL and wife Zoe. I found in my mother's belongings, a picture of her Great GrandParents, Charles Cyr and Philomena Gauthier Cyr.
Does any of this sound familiar to you? If so, please respond. Thank you. Patricia

His “yours, mine and ours” family with wives Delila Mercer and Malinda “Gordon” has eluded many people for years. Because of the complexity, I have tried to study the descendants of all his children hoping to find someone who may have some key memento like a family bible that would unlock additional information. One of his daughters was Delila Goode who married Smith B Noel. I would be most happy to supply additional information I have on the family not viewable at RootsWeb. I would appreciate more info on the more recent families.

Soon after moving to TX but before 1860, Smith B Noel and Delila Goode Separated and likely Divorced. No attempt has been made by me to uncover a Divorce record.

Smith B Noel is widely reported to be the son of Musker Noel b.1775.VA d.1845 Washington Co., KY and Elizabeth Smith b.abt.1775. I have not attempted to research the Ancestors of Smith B Noel.

See more detail and Sources at RootsWeb Database edclgenealogy1

In “Replies” to this Msg, I will post Outline Descendant Trees of each of Smith B Noel and Delila’s 5 children.
I believe additional info on Sally/Sarah Noel can be found at
Noel Web Site, Carolyn Trivett (Noel)
www.myheritage.com/site-48165682/noel-web-site

You do not list dates for reference, but Musker Noel does apparently have a Daughter who married Daniel Duggins.

Have you found out anything further about your great grandfather? Reading your post brought back memories of a trip to Canada that I took with my grandfather (Raymond Noel) when I was a young teenager back in the 1960's. I remember visiting Three Rivers and St. Anne de Beaupre as well as Quebec and Montreal. My grandfather was born in Detroit and his father, John, immigrated to Michigan in 1870.

Miss Natalie NOEL, 1893-1916

New Oxford Item, New Oxford, Pa., Thursday, May 4, 1916, p. 5

Girl Meets Tragic Death.

A pall fell over McSherrystown and vicinity on Friday evening, when it was learned that Miss Natalie Noel, the popular and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Noel, was thrown from a horse she was riding and sustained injuries, from which death ensued a few hours later. The sad accident took place at the corner of North and Church streets about 6 o'clock, when Miss Noel was returning from an evening ride, as was her usual custom. She was coming in Church street and at the intersection of North street, the horse wheeled abruptly to the left, throwing her to the street. Her head struck the street car track and she was rendered unconscious. James Conrad, John Lawrence and Aaron Spangler, who were in the Conrad store, carried the unfortunate girl to her home. Dr. Geo. L. Rice, and Dr. A.C. Rice were summoned to the house and did all in their power to save her life, but death followed at midnight, from concussion of the brain, without regaining consciousness. The horse ran to the stable where it was caught. Miss Noel was a graduate of St. Mary's parochial school and of the York School of Business. For the past five years she has been employed as a clerk in the office of the J.S. Young Co., Hanover. The deceased was a charter member of St. Mary's Cecelian club and two months ago was elected secretary. It is recalled that her grandfather, the late Adam Noel, of Mt. Rock, was killed by a horse 20 years ago; also a great-uncle was killed in the same manner. Miss Noel was born in McSherrystown, August 5, 1893, being 22 years, 8 months and 24 days old. She leaves her parents and three brothers, Reily J. Noel, of York; Leo T. Noel, of Hanover, and Bernard I. Noel, at home.

NOTE: No family connection.
I noticed in this Noel's family there are some Harrington's from Kentucky and Indiana. I'm looking for the parents of John Harrington b- 1857 Kentucky??? and d-1919 in Evansville Indiana. His wife was Alice Snellen. They had at least two children. John Henry and Florence. I found proof of there marriage, but what I can't find are who Johns parents were. I looked high and low and used several spellings of Harrington. Does anyone have any connections or clues?
Thanks much, DJ
