Noffsinger Anniversary Picture & Obituary

I'm cleaning my files.

I have a newspaper clipping in my file of a picture of Mr. & Mrs. Nat Nofsinger. Below the picture it reads, "Mr. & Mrs. Nat W. Nofsinger, . . . will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary . . . . The couple were married . . . on Nov. 30, 1918. They have three sons, Bobby and William Carl . . . and Nat J. . . . ."

I also have an obituary for Mrs. Thomas G. (Ama Frances) (Noffsinger) Hendricks. She was d/o W.H. Noffsinger and Mary Sallie (Heltsley) Noffsinger. Listed survivors included Elbert and Nat Noffsinger and more.

If anyone is interested, please respond here and I'll scan them and post them here.

Dorann O'Neal Lam

She
says the towns name is Little rock although no one
seems to have heard of this small town.
my aunts and uncles are Donna, Dorothy,Darlene
Richard, and Jerry. I have drawn atotal blank in this line
of my family. Even the morman library couldnt help.
Thanks ahead of time. Vicky
My gggrandfather's middle name was Noffinger. Since this is such an unusual given name, was wondering if it had come from a family name. William Noffinger Carpenter was born in Indiana 23 Oct 1845, and his parents were Charles Carpenter & Frances Elsie Ann Daniel. If anyone knows of a family connection, I would love to hear from you and share what I have.
"Granma" Noffsinger

Greetings to you each! I recently came across a photo labeled "Granma Noffsinger" in cursive pencil. The photo depicts three people: infant dressed in a white gown/chubby cheeked, almost grinning. He/She is sitting on dad's lap, and dad is seated in a wooden chair.Infant appears to be about 5m old, dad appears to be 30s. Dad is dressed in a suit and tie with lace up boots. Mom is standing over dad's right should, her left hand is on him. Her right hand is tucked behind her body. She is wearing a dark maxi-skirt, and a tucked waist blouse with long pouffed sleeves and a high collar. Mom looks to be in her late 20s or early 30s, light brown hair pulled to the back of her head. Very pretty. I do not know if "Granma" is the infant or the mom! If you would like to own this photo, please email me with your snail mail address. I am not seeking funds, this is a new hobby of mine! If a photo is labeled, I am trying to match it to a family. This photo came from an Antique mall in Springfield Ohio.
Lisa
sheets-n-giggles@worldnet.att.net

Elizabeth GISH - Mother: Elizabeth NOFFSINGER

I have found an Elizabeth Noffsinger that married a John GISH. They had a daughter names Elizabeth. This is something I found on the Internet because I am trying to find an Elizabeth A. GISH who is my gg grandmother. She married my gg grandfather in Dinwiddie County, VA. I find no GISH people in that county so she had to of been from elsewhere.

This is the lineage of what I found on the above Elizabeth NOFFSINGER, but noticed you do not have her listed:

Elizabeth NOFFSINGER married John GISH
Her parents: Jacob NOFFSINGER SUSAN H. STONER
Jacob's parents: Peter NOFFSINGER Sophronia WISE

Apparently Elizabeth NOFFSINGER and John GISH had a daughter named Elizabeth in a will in 1826. This is what I found on that:

Notes
SOURCES: 1. Muhlenberg Co. Abstracts of Wills and
Administrations,
p. 34.
Guardianship report.
2. Muhlenberg Co. Abstracts of Wills and Administrations,
p. 36.
Guardianship report.
MWAWA(34): Elizabeth GISH, orphan of John GISH, deceased, her accounts settled by Samuel DANNER. It says Elizabeth was 2 years old when "taken" by DONNER.

Approved January County Court 1826. Book II, pp. 351-352.
MCAWA(36): Elizabeth GISH, orphan child of John GISH, deceased, in account with Samuel DANNER from September 1825 to September 1826.

Approved

Does anyone have anything on this Elizabeth GISH? Do you know who she married or what happened to her?

Tina Ellis
lufsey@hotmail.com

I am trying to find any relatives of Charles and Elizabeth (Noffsinger) Weisenberger. They lived on Navarre Ave. in Toledo. They had a daughter called Ann, although I think her name might have been Elizabeth Ann, and a son John, named for Charles' twin brother. I am a cousin and have been trying to update family history.
