I would like any information on David P.C. Noftsker, who is found in the 1850 census in the "Christopher" (I assume this is really Christian as that is the name used in the 1860 census and matches other things I have read) and Rachel Noftsker household in Perry Township, Delaware County, Ohio. He is found in 1860 in Jeffersonville, Indiana (Clark County) with his wife, "Elisabeth", and 3 sons. This David Noftsker served in the Civil War. His war record says that he was born in Clermont County, Ohio. His birth year must have been about 1832. My line is through his son Charles Noftsker who married Emma Young in Minnesota. Does anyone know what the P.C. stands for in David's name? In tracing back, who was Christian's father? Also does anyone have any information on David's wife Elisabeth. Family legend says that they split up with David taking the 3 little boys with him, I assume, sometime after he was discharged from the Union army in 1864. David seems to disappear and we do not know what happened to him. I assume he was also in Minnesota probably the Waseca County, Faribault County, Freeborn County area. Also in the 1860 census in Jeffersonville someone named Mary Blake is living with this young family. Does anyone have a clue?
