I was 5 years old when your great grandfather was murdered, at the time I lived about 500 yards from his residence, obviously I don't have many of my own memories from that time, but I do remember people talking about it in later years. One of Mikes sons lives in that house to this day, another of the sons became a Washington township supervisor in later years. The murder was never solved, if you get notified of this post 10 years after you original post I can give you some other info.

I am not sure if you are still active. I am researching Antonina Frąc (1910-1968) who lived and died in the town of Radgoszcz. She married Antoni Borek (1900-1969) also of Radgoszcz. Both are buried in the parish cemetery there. I have added them to findagrave and started a tree in ancestry for them.

I wondered if you have made progress in your work.

I know that You have searched for family of Jozef Noga from Holdowiec.
Holdowiec is a village in Poland.
Jozef Noga (according to my knowledge) had brothers: Kazimierz Noga and
Franciszek Noga.
Jozef Noga had left Poland and arrived in USA with his brother (I don't know
his name)

Franciszek Noga got married with Maria Radziszewska.
They had children:
- Alfred Noga
- Irena Noga
- Julian Noga
- Bronislaw Noga
- Boleslaw Noga

Boleslaw Noga got married with Antonina Kula.
Boleslaw Noga still lives in Holdowiec.
Boleslaw Noga has children: Zbigniew Noga and Anna Noga

Anna Noga got married with Marian Pikulski in 1975.
They have got one child - Marzena Pikulska
She got married with Marcin Ludwa in 2004
They have got one child - Katarzyna Ludwa (she is two years old now)

Marzena Pikulska that's me. Now I live in Krakow in Poland. Boleslaw Noga is
my grandfather and maybe Jozef Noga is your grandfather.

sherry great to ear .. so.. as i told they came from europe guess poland.. and the rest of the family went to hawaii and work in cane sugar and them sanfrancisco.. i guess my great grna mother staied.. i look for them in us and i found a cousin .. i think.. they have book they wrotte about noga .. i think the journey and that.. i m tring to get it .. to see if its real them.. i will send more info .. would you like to mail directly to my mail? it s easier.. so can send you tree fasmily and all i have.. can you send too? is is lovelçy to ear from a noga!!

Augustyn Noga

My grandfather was Augustyn Noga, born in Trembowla, Galicia on 11/01/1886. He immigrated to the U.S. through Ellis Island in November 1906, and settled in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia. In 1911 he changed his surname to "Nogar" and married Felicya Klobukuski.

Shortly thereafter they moved to Reading, PA where he worked as a tailor and ultimately started the very successful Nogar Clothing Manufacturing Co. in 1918. His Americanized name was Augustus, or August Nogar, and he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1914. He died in Philadelphia in 1936.

According to his death certificate, his parent's names were Stanley (Stanislaw?) Noga and Hedwig Grabourg, and was of Polish descent. I'm looking for any other Nogas or Nogars that may be related, either here in the U.S., in eastern Europe, or anywhere else in the world.

Any information would be wonderful and appreciated.

I am your father (Mark) cousin. I have a brother and a sister Donna & Gary Cornelius. My mom, Doris was your granfather's sister. I believe Frank(Helen's son from her second husband) is alive and lives in Nevada with his wife Arlene. Have lost contact with most of the family since my mom died and I moved to Ohio. I knew John(your grandfather) had passed away but did not know Aunt Ann(your grandmother) had until recently when I was researching and came across her name in the SSDI. My father is Mark Sankey. I'm not sure if there's information you have that I've not found out about yet (it's been a very long time since I've researched) but I'd love to hear from you. My grandmother was Helen Noga and her second husband was Frank Cutrona. My mom is Doris(Helen's daughter) and my uncle was John(Jack). Wondering Beck's father or mother(Mark, Debbie or Barbara) They are my cousins.

My Grandfather Josef and his brother Piotr Noga were born in Holdowiec, Poland. Their parents names were Jan Noga and Sophie Petroski. I know when and where the brothers came into the United States, I'd like to know if anyone has connections there in Holdowiec so I can find out if they had any brothers or sisters. Maybe I can find out when Jan and Sophie got married and what church, they were Catholic.

How do you pronounce Noga? I saw your post while looking for my Nogay family. If it is pronounced no-gay I may be of some help to you. I noticed you mentioned Lackawanna,NY in your post. My great great grandmother was Anna Nogay Niemiec, her daughter Helena immigrated to Lackawanna,NY in 1912 from the Lublin area in Poland. There might be a distant connection somewhere. Sometimes immigrants connected with other family members once they arrived in the new country. I have seen Nogay also spelled Nogai, and Nogaj. All pronounced the same way. You could also check for various spellings of Noga. Let me know if you come across any one with the last name of Niemiec, Sobaszek, or Skrzynski. Cathy

I think my grandfather was from Poland. His name was Jacob Noga. His wife (my Grandmother) was from Czechoslovakia. Her name was Mary Noga.
I am not certain if the name id Czech or Polish.

My aunt's name was Helen Noga. My grandmother was Mary Noga. My Dad, George Noga, died in 1998, and all I have left in the entire world with the Noga heritage is my Aunt, Marianne Noga Allison. She was born in 1921 in Czecholslovakia, but was brought to the US in early 1923-24? They lived in Bayside New York. My Grandfather was named Jacob Noga.
Does ANYONE have a hint of an idea about these Noga's????
I am dying to know what happened to my Grandfather. My Granmother died in 1977, and we buried her in Cypress, CA.
PLEASE, please, can anyone help me put the pieces together???

My grandfather Joseph NOGA came from Cieplice, Jarostaw, Poland. (The t in polish looks like a l with a slash in it.) Cieplice was very close to the Austria Russian border.

My great-grandparents on my mother's side were Joseph and Anna (Noga) Waclawik. John Andrew Waclawik, their son, was my grandfather. He came to the US in 1921 and married my grandmother (Stephany Ksiaszczak) in 1928.

His Father Jan or "John" in english, Noga
His Mother Sophie Petroski given name in Polish spelling unknown, born "unknown" birth place "unknown".

Josef had a brother Piotr Noga "Peter" in english.
Joseph supposedly emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio on 04-24-1913, according to his wife My Grandmother Helena Malecki found written in her book.

I don't know if there where any more children of John Noga and Sophie "Petroski" Noga.

I do know that both Joseph and Piotr "Peter" Noga came to Cleveland and I hear Peter spent some time and possibly got married in Chicago to Anna Osto.

Anyone know of these Noga's or Holdowiec where the boys where born.

Joseph and Helen Noga had two children Bernard and Eleanor, both born in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bernard Noga was My Father.
Eleanor "Lander" Noga was my aunt.

Peter Noga, My grandfather Joseph Noga where brothers.
Peter and Anna had children, Michael Nickname "Chic" Noga,
Teddy Noga, Berrnie Noga

Piotr Noga, 94, of Hartford, husband of the late Malwina (Ciecko) Noga, died Wednesday, (December 10, 2003) at his home. Born in Poland, son of the late Michael and Magdalena (Kowal) Noga, he had lived in Bridgeport before moving to Hartford 35 years ago. He leaves three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Janina Noga of Pattersonville, NY, Zbigniew and Zdzislawa Noga of Trumbull and Wesley and Elizabeth Noga of Hartford; two daughters and a son-in-law, Aleksandra and Roman Malek of Middletown and Wanda Noga of Stratford; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Sat., Dec. 13, 8:45 a.m. from the South Green Memorial Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford. Burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. His family will receive friends TODAY, 5-8 p.m. at the South Green Memorial Home. My g-grandmother was Helen Noga, daughter of Adalbert and Cathrine. I was thrilled to find Cathrine's last name because although I had Helen's SSI papers, she recorded her mother as Cathrine (UNKNOWN). My greatest interest is in the parents of Adalbert and Cathrine. In addition, I am seeking information about Helen's first husband, John Sankey - he was my g-grandfather who disappeared shortly after the birth of his daughter. Her second husband was a Cutrona, which was the name under which I found her SSDI. Also, are you certain that Jack and Doris are Sophia's children - those are the names of Helen's children, my g-granfather and his sister. Great-grandmother Mary NOGA born November, 1895 in Poland possibly near Krakow. Came to US around 1913 to Auburn or Lackawanna, NY areas. Siblings were Stanley, Catherine, Josephine who also came here. Siblings Joseph and Unknown female stayed behind. Mary NOGA married John VUJNOVIC around 1915 settled in Lackawanna, NY area. NOGA family were caretakers of large estate in Poland then moved to their own farm. Mary NOGA'S death certificate lists parents as unknown. These are Americanized first names so I am hitting a brick wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently learned that Maria Slowik is the birth name. Maria married Antoni Waclawik and they had 2 sons-Joseph and Francezk. Antoni died and Maria remarried ?.
Joseph Waclawik married Anna Noga whose father was Albert Noga and Mother Katherine Modlisz. I don't know if this will help others in the Noga search. I also recall my mother telling me that Anna had a sister that married a Ranczka. They lived in Fall River, MA

My husband's grandfather, Stanley Noga, supposedly was born in the US (Chicago), went back to Poland, married (Theresa Fron), had two children Emily and Joseph and came back to the states via Ellis Island circa 1949. I found one Stanley Noga born in Chicago in 1885 and died in 1967, but not sure if this is right. I cannot find any another information on this line. Does anyone have any information on STanley being the son of anyone in Chicago/Michigan area?
