Surnames: Cook, Webb, Sampson
Dear Noisette members:

My aunt was born circa 1904 in North Florida. Her name was Marechalniel. Her mother, Leonora Cook Sampson, was born in 1877 in Winnsboro, SC. I thought it might help me in my search if I could have some insight as to why someone would name their daughter after the Noisette rose. I figured it must have been special to my grandmother and I am trying to see if I can piece her life together. I do know that that rose was famous and considered most beautiful.
