For your information --- I was reading my great-uncle's birth certificate (Giuseppe Mirabelli) and listed as the "Clerk appointed by Mayor's act of the 27th of September ultimo and the duly approved Official of the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the Township of Cassano all'Ionio, Italy" was a Salvatore Nola.
