Nolans in Chicago area

Chris, I saw your post. What time frame are you talking about regarding your Grandfather? My great Grandmother came to this country from Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland around 1892. She was the oldest of 9 children and she was the first to come to the US. Her sisters Ann Nolan and Mary Nolan came later. Ann married a man by the name of Jim Kelly and Mary married a man with the last name of Morrisroe. Mary died in 1916, Ann in 1960 and my Great Grandmother in 1965. There were two other brothers that came for sure. They were Martin and Michael. Michael served in WW1. He died in 1952 in Erie PA and was buried in Chicago. I am unsure of what happened to Martin. Neither of the brothers married. The four other brothers were: Patrick, Thomas, Bart, and John. The clans would usually settle in a area where family was located. I hope this helps.
