SEEKING INFO. ON HONORA NOONAN 1840 - IREAND

Seeking information about Honora Noonan, born in Ireland about 1840. She married William Cully, who was also born in Ireland about 1840. They married about 1865 in New York, N.Y. William Cully, (my great-great Grandfather) died I believe on March 17, 1922. William Cully had three children: John Cully, (born 10/05/1895), Hesione Cully (estimated birth: 1896 whereabouts unknown) and Alice Irene Cully (my grandmother), who married Adam Alexis Magsamen born in New York and married on October 16, 1912 in the Bronx, NY. Adam Alexis Magsamen’s parents were Adam Magsamen and Ellen Magsamen (Ward).

If anyone has any information regarding Honora Noonan (correct spelling) or any of the above-related individuals, I would be so grateful for your assistance. I am missing so much information about them. Thank you.

AFTER PREDICTING DEATH WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY

Predicting that she was not going to live the day out, Mrs. Anna Noonan, 32, wife of Martin Noonan, a Q. & C. engineer, died suddenly at her home, 25 Elm-st., in Ludlow,
yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock, before a physician could be called by neighbors who found her in a precarious condition.

For several days Mrs. Noonan has insisted that she was not going to live and the husband has tried to talk the notion out of her head. She seemed to be in perfect health and was in fairly good spirits yesterday at noon. Shortly before 4 o'clock Mrs. Decoursey, who lives in a flat upstairs in the building, heard her call and going down stairs found Mrs. Noonan in a precarious condition. Dr. Stroup was called, but the woman was dead by the time he arrived and he notified Coroner Wise, who is making an investigation of the case.

Mrs. Noonan was the mother of four children, the oldest of whom is 7 and the youngest 17 months.

NOONAN FUNERAL

Coroner James Wise, after an investigation into the cause of the death of Mrs.Anna Noonan, of Ludlow, returned a verdict that death was due to cranial arteria rupture. She had informed her husband a few hours before that she was going to die and did not care to have a physician.
The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from St. James' Church.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Hi I live in Sydney Australia. I know my ancestors came from Cork. The family home now a restaurant I am led to belive.

My mothers side was goodwin. My father had a father & step father, he died two years ago.

My parents had photos of the restaurant and other copies of other matters, but never made it to Ireland.

He may have worked the railroad or have been in mining. He came to Rutland, Vermont with his family when he was about 3. John NOONAN was born 1846 in Louisiana. He was a Civil War soldier.
Fanny NAVE was born in Kentucky in 1847, d. 29 Jan 1917. Her parents were Thomas Naves (1823-1866) and Mary ROSE (1829-1894)

Even as a widow, she was almost always "Fanny Noonan" in the records.

My great grandfather was William Noonan who married Mary Catherine Fitzgerald (born 1854/5 in County Limerick, Ireland). They lived at 2530 Leticoe Street (later changed to Lebanon Street) on the Southside of Pittsburgh -16th Ward. They had 2 daughters, Nellie/Ellen (1883), my grandmother, and Rose (1891).
I have found very little information about Wm. Noonan. I think that he died sometime in the 1890's because his wife remarried in 1896.

My grandfather was Earnest W Noonan who married Rose Florence from Grouse Point, NY. Earnest Noonan dob is 6-24-1895- to 1942. Rose B-day 1-6-1900-1995. They had five children:
Francis E Noonan , Patricia (Noonan) Brodeur; Paul Noonan, Richard Edward Noonan (my father) and Beverly (Noonan) Eliot. Only Paul, Richard and Patricia are still living in Concord , NH. Very difficult to get any further information. I believe Earnest father was either William or Patrick Noonan from Cork, Ireland. He was a cabinet maker.

I hope you are still active and able to help me! My mother was born in Sioux City and we own a burial plot there where either her grandmother or mother is buried under the name Susan Noonan. I have the deed for the burial plot but I have written often to the city to try and learn more and no luck. My grandmother was born Aimee Bowen in Wisconsin in 1876- father John Bowen and mother Susan Noonan. Susan was born 1853 - her fahter was JOhn Noonan who was born around 1827 in Ireland. This is all the information I have. I am desperate to get someone to look at the gravesite for me - and also to find out more about the Noonans and Bowens. My grandmother was my primary care provider - she died in 1967 here in CT and it has been impossible for me to make headway. Can you help?

Greetings, I am researching my niece and nephew's genealogy. This is what I
have learned so far:

Their great grandfather, Joseph Patrick Noonan was born in Ireland on April 29,
1885. I believe that his parents may be Michael Noonan and Mary Ann Driscoll.
He had two brothers and a sister that I know of. They are:

John Michael Noonan born in Ireland on December 12, 1874/1875
James Valentine Noonan- born in Ireland on Feb 14, 1881
Elizabeth Noonan- born in Ireland on October 26, 1876. Elizabeth Noonan and
brother Joseph Patrick Noonan married a brother and sister from the Ward
family. Joseph married Helen Veronica Ward and Elizabeth married Harry John
Ward.

According to the 1900 Sand Francisco California Census, Mary Ann, the mother was
widowed at the time of the 1900 census. John, the eldest son immigrated to
California in 1888 and Mary Ann, James, and Joseph immigrated later in 1896.

I haven't been able to locate immigration records. I did find a record that
made reference to Blackrock, Dublin County, Ireland, but I have been unable to
confirm this information for certain. According to the 1900 California census,
Mary Ann was born about August 1859.

Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading my

Patrick married Maureen RUSSELL (b. Dec 23, 1909) , to the best of my knowledge, around 1930. Patrick's parents were James and Julia Noonan. I do not know Julia's maiden name.

George Noonan joined the U.S. Marines at the age of 17 in 1944, during World War II; an event he remained proud of his whole life. His sternest test as a Marine was at the battle of Saipan. He retired from the aerospace industry. In his life's work, his efforts included work on the Apollo, Space Shuttle and F117-A Stealth Fighter projects, as well as many other efforts in the advancement of America's science and national defense. Immigrated to U.S. in 1850

William moved to Michigan sometime around the 1860 Census with the boys. He married Ellen sometime around 1868 since they had to children, William, 1868 and Ellen, 1870.

He may have arrived on a ship called the Coronet from Liverpool to New York on August 20, 1850.

Please help me fill in the missing links.

They next show up on the 1860 Census in Owosso, Michigan
Only William, Thomas, Martin and Stephen are listed. Catherine passed away after arriving to Michigan in 1858.

At some point between 1860 and 1870, William remarried Ellen Carmody in Owosso and had two children, William (1868-1913) and Ellen "Ella" (1869-1910). Stephen married Delia M. Davis (1842-1935), Martin married Hattie A. Currier (1856- ?) and Thomas married Mary S. Allen (1845-1917). Margaret married Searl “Cyril” Drown (1827-1920).

Around 1880 William his wife Ellen, Stephen and Ella all changed their surnames from Noonan to Nonon. This is what is on all of their grave stones. Thomas kept the Noonan spelling, this is my Great Great Grandfather.

3. When did William and Catherine get married, and what is her maiden name?
4. When did they arrive in the U.S. and on which ship?
5. Where did Mary go? I cannot locate her in Michigan with the family..

William Noonan (1816-1888)was born in Ireland and immigrated to the US about 1848 to Massachusetts. He is shown in the 1850 Census report for Hampden, West Springfield, MA where he is listed with the following family members.
Catherine Noonan (1813-1858) - Wife, born in Ireland
Margaret (1840- ?) Daughter, Born in Ireland
Mary (1841- ?) Daughter, Born in Ireland
Thomas (1844- 1901) Son, Born in Ireland
Martin (1848- ?) Son, Born in Massachusetts
Stephen (1851-1926) Son, Born in Massachusuttes

They next show up on the 1860 Census in Owosso, Michigan
Only William, Thomas, Martin and Stephen are listed. Catherine passed away after arriving to Michigan in 1858.

At some point between 1860 and 1870, William remarried Ellen Carmody in Owosso and had two children, William (1868-1913) and Ellen "Ella" (1869-1910). Stephen married Delia M. Davis (1842-1935), Martin married Hattie A. Currier (1856- ?) and Thomas married Mary S. Allen (1845-1917).

Around 1880 William his wife Ellen, Stephen and Ella all changed their surnames from Noonan to Nonon. This is what is on all of their grave stones. Thomas kept the Noonan spelling, this is my Great Great Grandfather.
