I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Phillippe Norbert” – maternal grandfather, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Ashland (Ashland Co.) WI, and he looks to be about age 40.

I found Phillippe as Phillip in the 1900 census for Morse (Ashland Co.) WI, with date of birth Nov 1857, born Canada. He was a saloon keeper, married 25 yrs. to wife Alvena (born Nov 1858). He immigrated in 1887, and they had children Edna, Annie and Emil. These ages differ from those in the 1905 WI state census, where Phillip’s age is 55 (=1850) and “Alvine” is age is 40 (=1865).
