Manchester NORBURY family

Ralph NORBURY, a clerk, married Martha Anne HULBERT in 1844. Their children were William Edward, b 1845; Annie Elizabeth b 1848; John Hulbert b ca 1850; Ralph Albert b ca 1853; George Frederick b ca 1856; Mary Jane b ca 1860, and Charles Henry b ca 1863. Annie married Thomas SUTHERLAND in Cheshire in 1883, but all these people mostly lived around Hulme, Eccles, Stretford area. Would like to trace any descendants of the Norburys.

In dire need of help or ideas please. 2nd Great Grandfather Joseph R. Norbury was confirmed into 4th Reformed Church of Manayunk in 1835 at age of 18. Occupation at this time was shoemaker. I can find no record of him prior to this time except that I do know he was born in 1817 in Philadelphia. I have no idea what church or religion he belonged to prior to 1835. Also, I found a Jacob Norbury on 1820 city directory listed as a shoemaker who may be his father but again no further info on him. What can I do to alliviate this brick wall? I checked church books at the Historical Society and drew a big blank. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thomas Sutherland b ca 1843 in Glasgow was married to Annie E Norbury,(b ca 1848), in 1885. In 1891. they lived in Stretford nr Manchester. Annie was born in or near Manchester and so were their 3 children: Annie N Sutherland,b ca 1886. Marguerite E (Daisy) b ca 1887 and Thomas Douglas, b ca 1888. There was also John Alexander Sutherland, b 1878 in Co Durham, a son from Thomas' first marriage. I'm looking for the parents of Annie Norbury, and want to find out what happened to the children. I have Barton upon Irwell, Old Trafford, and Stretford as places where they lived from the 1880's on. I know that John Sutherland went to South Africa or Kenya.

Sarah Norbury married Charles Longden, perhaps in 1872, and they(?) emigrated to Australia , perhaps in 1883. Charles died in Australia in 1938.

Searching for birth date and place of Thomas Norbury around 1811. Married Elizabeth Ravenscroft 1835 at Manchester Cathedral. Moved to Macclesfield where he was a Police Inspector. At marriage was a Farmer, then later Police Officer. There are a few possiblities for his birth, one being Halton. If any connections I would love to hear from you.

Looking for any info of NORBURY family from Coventry, UK. Thomas Norbury married Elizabeth ? in 1801, they had: William, Thomas, Elizabeth, James & Joseph. James married Charlotte ? in 1835, they had: James, Elizabeth, Charles, Julia, Emma, Samuel and Mary. This James married Ann DOWELL in 1859 and they had William Henry, Arthur Charles, Albert, Herbert, Mary Ann Elizabeth, Harriet Aliza, Rhoda Alice and Theresa Amelia (my Gt Grandmother). They were all born in Coventry and mainly worked in the silk weaving industry. Any info or relatives (!) greatly appreciated.

My father many years ago managed to trace our family line (with help from a UK genealogist) to a Phillip Norbury who married Phoebe Faulkner (Falkner?) in 1787. MISSOULA - Virgil S. Norbury, 68, of Missoula, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at St. Patrick Hospital.
He was born on March 2, 1935, in Plevna, Kan., to the late Walter L. and Edna L. Stroud Norbury. Virgil was raised and educated in Corvallis.
He was a member of some Missoula car clubs and enjoyed restoring classic cars and tractors. Virgil loved to tinker and build things in his shop. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Virgil drove truck for Missoula Cartage Co. for 33 years.
Surviving include his children, Linda (Bill) Calhoun of Anaconda, Virgil L. Norbury Jr. of Missoula and Sandra Lea Norbury of Anaconda; grandchildren Lance Calhoun of Colorado, Bob and Scott Calhoun, both of Anaconda, Vern Norbury of Missoula and Travis L. Brooke of Anaconda; great-grandchild Hannah Calhoun of Colorado; brothers and sisters Agnes (Orland) Bratten of Arizona, Bill (Scoopie) Norbury of Hamilton, Jim (Darlene) Norbury of Butte, Shirlie (Ted) Parini of Butte and Merlin (Elle) Norbury of Butte; and stepchildren Doug, Danny, Bobby, Cindy and Debbie.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Mission in Arlee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Mission, with Father Andrew L. Maddock presiding. A reception will follow the Mass at the mission. Interment will take place at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Corvallis Cemetery in Corvallis.
Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
Virgil's family wishes to express their appreciation for the excellent care given by the Montana Cancer Center, St. Patrick Hospital and the support of his friends and church.
The family suggests memorials to the Montana Cancer Specialists, P.O. Box 7877, Missoula, MT 59807-7877.
