I am searching for ancestral information on Nicholas Norkett d. 1847/8 Union County, N. C., father of Elizabeth Norkett Williams.

He probably came from the New Bern Dist., N. C. A William and a Nicholas Norkett listed in N. C. Soldiers in The Revolutionary War, New Bern District. This is probably the same man, but I need proof.
