I would enjoy hearing from others working on Henry Norris and his wife Abigail Stratton. I believe Henry was not a grandson of Edward Norris (1589-1659), minister of Salem, as suggested in Hatfield's History of Elizabeth, New Jersey...(1868), p. 165.
Henry's wife was from East Hampton, Long Island. Another East Hampton resident, Thomas Chatfield (b. ca. 1621-d. by 1687), had a proven nephew named Henry Norris, and I believe that this is the individual of that name who appeared in the Elizabeth Colony before 1670.
This Henry's father was a carpenter who lived in the parish of North Mundham, Sussex before he leased property in 1648 in the Little London neighborhood of Chichester, Sussex
