CHESTERHILL, OHIO - Robert Ray Norris, 62, of OHIO 376, McConnelsville, OHIO passed away at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at his daughter's home in Malta, OHIO.
He was born April 15, 1947, in Ravenna,OHIO to the late Jay Norris and Naomi Norman McPeek. He worked for more than 20 years at Federal Mogel in McConnelsville. Robert was an Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of the V.F.W. Post 4713 in Malta.
He is survived by one son, Eric (Tammy) Norris of Chesterhill; three daughters, Margaret (Cornell) Hale of Columbus, OHIO Traci Norris of Columbus and Shalia (Derek) Fisher of Malta; three brothers, Roger and Bill Norris of Chesterhill and Jeff Norris of Pennsville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and his long time companion, Marilyn Tabler of McConnelsville, OHIO.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at Mount Hermon Church, with the Rev. Delbert Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery, with veteran services provided by the Morgan County Veterans Association.
