Hello everyone,
I am forwarding this message posted on the Norcross list in the hopes that some descendants of Alexander C. or James M. Northcross can do something about this, or at least find out where they are being moved. You can view the other article she speaks of by going to the first site and on the screen it has a box with the line "related articles".

"I am not a NORTHCROSS descendant and I could not find a NORTHCROSS Mailing
list, so I thought I should post this here as well as the Shelby County,
Tennessee Mailing list.
There is a very interesting article in the Commercial Appeal today regarding
family cemeteries. Actually there are two related articles, but I found
only this one that can be read online at this address:
http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/local/article/0,2845,MCA...
The upshot is that if they decide to move the cemetery they will have to
post a notice in the newspaper for thirty days so any living relatives can state
their feelings. So if any of you know NORTHCROSS descendants, you may want
to pass this information along to them so they can contact the proper
authorities to make their wishes known.
