George Lee Northington Sr., 75, Anniston, Ala., formerly of Clarksville, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, in Anniston, Ala.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Greater Thankful Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens, Ala.
Foston Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
He was born Feb. 23, 1931 in Clarksville, the son of Harry Bell and Nina Pace Northington. He was married to Eunice Northington. He is preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
He was a member of Greater Thankful Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Northington, Anniston, Ala., children, Abdul Arrahim, Buffalo, N.Y., Preston Bluitt, Duluth, Ga., Eddie Bluitt, Houston, Texas., Rose Bolden, College Park, Ga., Peggy Poole, Buchanan, Ga.; brothers, Otho Northington, Matthew Northington, both of Clarksville; sisters, Mary Pollard, and Paulette Lewis, both of Clarksville, Nannie Mance, Fort Washington, Md., eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. and an uncle, Will H. Pace, Clarkville.
Goodson Funeral Home, 830 Noble St. Anniston, Ala. is in charge of arrangements.
