Nowakowski, Jozef fr Parish Radziwie, Soczewka, Gostynin, Poland

Hi, My ancestry connects to Jozef Nowakowski b. 19 Feb 1892 in Soczewka, Parish Radziwie, Poland. His parents were Maryanna Ptaszynska b. 1860 and Jan Nowakowski b. 1854. They married 9 May 1880 in Soczewka, Parish Radziwie, Poland. I don't know who Jozef Nowakowski married or when, but wondered if he or any of his descendents immigrated to America. I am searching for the father or Maryanna Ptaszynska, Jan Ptaszynski. My family's story is that Jan Ptaszynska was an illustrious military man who was captured by the Russians and sent to Siberia to work for 30 yrs after which he was released. He made it home to Poland, but was so sick he died shortly after returning to his family. I want to find out when and where he died. Thanks for any insights.

Hi. I have a copy of a photo from a parish jubilee book in Pennsylvania. One of the men listed in the photo is an "And. Nowakowski". The picture was probably taken around 1885 - 1890. I'd be more than happy to e-mail a copy of the photo (.jpg) to anyone who is interested. My ancestor (Marcin Opalewski) is one of the blurriest in the picture but Mr. Nowakowski is in the front row and quite clear.

Kim Opalewski Brizendine

Would anyone happen to have any info on Gertrude Nowakowski / Stachurski. She died in 1961 of complications due to MS. I would love to know her family history. The only thing I know for sure is that she was married November 12th 1942 to Thomas Joseph Stachurski. She was also from South Bend, IN. If possible I would like to know who her parents were and if she had any siblings. She died when my father was young so he doesnt have any info either. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Nowakowski - Kaczorowska in Camden, NJ??

Early in the 1900s, I want to say c. 1910, a Nowakowski (maybe Jozef?) married a Kaczorowska (maybe Mary) in or around Lodz, Poland and moved to Camden, NJ.
A few years later, a brother to that Nowakowski (Frank- in English) married a sister(Valerie - in English) of that Kaczorowska, and they came to visit their siblings. My mother was born on that trip - 1918. My grandparents returned to Poland, but their siblings remained in the states.
There were many siblings in addition to these I have mentioned. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I haven't been able to locate any of the relatives that I once knew and I would like to resume contact with them. Thanks.
