Just a quick note that this family have been transcribed as NOYCE on the 1901 census.

Hi Caz,
I found your grandmother's birth registration -- September quarter 1910 Shoreditch vol 1c page 73. If you get the certificate it will tell you who her father and mother were and you can take it from there.
I did have a quick look at Noys in Shoreditch and on the 1891 census there was a family headed by Charles Noys born Paddington 1845. His wife was Margaret born 1851 Shoreditch, children Charles J 1876, William 1880, Margaret C 1882, Lavinia A 1884, and John A 1887 -- all Shoreditch. On Freebmd John Arthur married in Shoreditch in 1908 and William in 1904 -- but the birth certificate will show you if either of these is your great grandfather.
You can order the certifcate online from www.gro.gov.uk and it costs 7GBP including postage.

If you can give me her first name, state and approximate birth year I may be able to help with her ancestry. While her name was NOYS, variations in spelling the last name often occur between generations -- I have even found siblings spelling their last name differently!!

sorry about that my nan was edith margeret NOYS born 8thjune 1910 died dec 1979 my nan married my grandad james frances hennelly 1951 in poplar my grandad died 1994 had three kids uncle born 1943 aunt birn 1945 and my mum.
this marrige was my nans second marrige nan married j.harrold somewere between 1929-1930 in oxford i assume as the eldest child my uncle was born there
my nan had two kids in her first marrige uncle born 1936ish and my aunt 1930 oxford.
my nan lived most her life in oxford/london

You could start by posting more information here for example her date of birth & full maiden name.
