My grandfather, Edward Rudolph Nubel was born c. 1901 and died in August 1969. His brothers were Hermann, Gustave, and I believe Arthur. They were the sons of John Rudolph Nubel, who is believed to have come from Bremerhaven, Germany and Johanna Augusta Beckmann, who is believed to have come from Cuxhaven, Germany, only 20 miles away.

There must be some other connection to the Nubels originating in NY. There were not that many at the time.

Edward Nubel married Lillian Kasten
Hermann married Adele, lived in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY and had no children. Hermann died in 1972.
Gustave married Frances and had John
Arthur, born 1901, died in 1950's.
