This message is three years old, but I'm a descendent of his, and my grandfather told me that he came home from the Civil War to discover that his wife had a child without him while he was fighting. According to grandpa's story, that was when he changed his name and started a new life.

Family story; I don't know how much truth there is in it, or whether Nancy was the first wife or the second.

Kiku (Yonaha) Nulph - b.10 Apr 1930 in Japan,d.22 Jun 1994 Orange Co.,Calif. Buried: Glen Abby Memorial Park,San Diego Calif.

Got her obotuary fro the San Diego Newspaper but it does not give the name of her husband.Just the names of her children,Katie and Clemente Valdez.Evidently she was first married to a Valdwz as the SSDI shows her as Kiku Nulph.

If anyone has any information as to the name of her Husband,please let me know.

Christopher Arlen, b. Oct 1977 d. April 2000, m. Nichole Myers b. 1976. they have 3 kids, Eric Arlen(see a pattern here?) b. 1994.........................hey, do you have any kind of "form" you could send me? It sure would be easier.

Thank you, I saw it a couple weeks ago and printed it out. Dad(Ronald Arlen), my bro(Cameron Ellis) and I went on a week long camping trip and I took the printout along. It came as a little surprise to Pop that we are German, LOL, evidently we bacame "Dutch" sometime during or after WW2. Is that a common? It's all we could come up with as a reason.

I can't help much, I know from James(my G-Grandad) down to my grandkids, but Bill has been the one doing all the legwork for the rest(thanks again Bill). I would LOVE the pictures of James and his siblings, we have nothing of him.

Found Samuel and Margaret on the 1870 Census for Pettis Co.,Mo.,1900 Census for Latah Co,Idaho,& 1910 Census for King Co.,Washington.They had 3 Children Rachel E.,Mildred Emma,and Anna M.
Found Samuel and Francina on the 1850 Census for Mo,and the 1856 Census for Dubuque Co,Iowa - where it was noted they had been in Dubuque for 9 years.They had 4 children - Alonzo,John,Leon,and James A.
Samuels parents were John Nulph Jr and Margaret Shupp,grandparents John Nolf Sr and Anna Maria (maiden name unknown),gg parents Casper Nolf and Philapina Phoebe Bossardt,ggg parents Laurentius Nolff and Anna Maria Werner (Immigrant ancestors from Grossgartach,Germany)

Will let you know if I find anything on Margaret J.Corwin.

Bill, I found another spelling on margaret J Corwin who married Samuel Nulph on 19 march 1865 Otterville, Cooper Co Mo. I know nothing about Francina Fluherty, other than she was born in 1833 Mo. However Rachel Adeline Nulph, born 25 Sept 1865, Sullivan Co Mo is my Great Grandmother, The census has her as Rachel E Nulph born in 1862, that part is taken down wrong by censes taker Men do not know how to Spell all those names, and the number 2 and 5 could be not written well. Child l. Anna 2. Sylvia

James Nulph family is part of my family also Rachel Adeline Shirley is my Great Grandmother if you have any help for me, I would be greatful. I know nothing about George Washington Shirley my Great Grandfather. They had seven children and I have some nice Picturesof them. Need lots of help from everyone..

John Nulph Jr b 1787 Northhampton Co, Pa d 1870 Wi married Margaret Shupp, I believe Samuel and Francina Flauherty married Feb 13 1851. Three sons were born to them. Alonzo C born 21 June 1855, Leon born 1856, James A 18 Dec 1862, However Rachel A Nulph was born 25 Sept 1862. This tells me Francina is not her Mother.
Samuel Nulph married Margaret Jane Cornine, Corwin, or Cormeir 19 March 1865 in Cooper Co, Mo. I found all three of these last names on three different lists. That is why she is listed as unknown. Rachel Adline Nulph is my Great Grandmother, she married George Washington Shirley Feb 2 1879 Vacaville Ca. They had 7 children, my Grandmother Rachel Francina Shirley Crossland was was the 4th child born in Asotin Wa 22 July 1884, My Mother is Hazel Shirley Crossland still living at age 93, I had a Great Aunt Margaret Jane Shirley, and a Aunt Margaret Jane, and my name is Margaret but not Jane. In the family Bible Rachel Adline's Mother was listed as Margaret Jane Nulph married to Samuel Nulph, 1865 and over her name someone wrote step Mother, we would like to know who her Mother was.
