"At a called communication of Meridian Sun Lodge, held at the lodge Room, Griffin, August 3rd, A. L. 1856, the following preamble and resolutions were passed: Whereas, in the inscrutable, yet wise and just providence of God, it has pleased Him to call from our midst our well beloved brother, Wm. H. NUNNALLY to a higher sphere of worth.
Resolved, that these resolutions be published in the city papers, and a copy of the same be forwarded to his family. D. A. Johnson, F. Dismukes, J. J. Douglas, Committee"

William H. NUNNALLY was the son of Dr. Josiah Elam Nunnally Sr and 2nd wife Mrs Tabitha [MATTOX] Weems who married 29 Apr 1828 in Pike County, Georgia.
The husband and children of Victoria Jane [McCANTS] were clearly identified in Item Seven of his father's will which was probated 06 Aug 1861 in Spalding Co, Georgia.
"Seventh--- I give to my son William H., one negroe boy named Sanford and Martha a girl with her increase as long as he lives, and after his death to his two sons, Willoford & Grotier as long as they shall live, and the bed and furniture and other items delivered before the signing these presents to their mother Victoria Jane."
